This week we will have some fall themed fun using sensory details in our writing, as well as learning about Native people of Colorado with a focus on timelines. We will continue reading "My Side of the Mountain" to learn about inferences, as well as inferring which character I might be based on clues.
This week's learning targets:
- I can draw inferences about setting, character, plot, and support my inferences with details from the text
- I can use sensory details in my writing
- I can use transition words and phrases in my writing
- I can construct a timeline of events from Colorado history
- I can summarize important events in sequence using transition words and phrases
Math
- 4th I can make sense of quantities and relationships in problem solving
-4th (will be taking their second topic assessment this week)
- 5th I can model sums and differences of decimals
- 5th I can add decimals using the standard algorithm
- 5th I can subtract decimals using the standard algorithm

This week is only a three day week, so have a nice long weekend!
